For those of you who have interest enough to actually come to my info page, here's an attempt to tell you about myself:
My name is Allison and I was born on St. Patrick's Day in 1981 in the great state of Alabama. That would be me in the picture above...taken many years ago (ok, about 4 or 5).
I lived in Alabama up until I was married in 2001, but we'll get to that in a moment. To back up a bit, I attended Marbury High School from kindergarten all the way till I graduated, and was a cheerleader for nine of those years. Those were some of the proudest moments of my life and I really miss cheering. After graduation, I attended Auburn University in Montgomery for two years, working towards a degree in Computer Information Systems. After those two years I married the love of my life, Steve.

I met Steve while he was djing at a local line dance club that I frequented. I love to line dance, but haven't had the opportunity to do so since Heartland (afore mentioned club) closed down and I moved away (story coming up). Steve was in the Air Force at the time and stationed in Turkey for nine months before we were married. A few days after our wedding, I was on a plane bound for Turkey, where I spent fifteen months. While there, I helped coach the cheerleading team at the high school on base. At the time, I really disliked living there, but now I'd like to go back to visit (just not to live). I got to see many different places and wouldn't trade the experience for the world, but I didn't too much like living there to be honest. There are a few pictures on my website of Turkey; mostly Kizkalesi (the beach).

From Turkey, we were sent to San Antonio. Neither of us wanted to go there, but the Air Force really doesn't take that into consideration when telling you where you'll live next. We made the most of it, and had lots of fun in the process. We were regulars at Seaworld, one of the highlights of our 3 years there!

Then in September of '05 Steve retired and we finally made it back to Alabama. And here we are, back where we started and really happy to be here.

Some of my interests: I call Gatlinburg, TN my second home. I've visited there since I was really young and still do whenever I get the chance. I love the Smokies and think the area is the most beautiful place you'll ever find on this great Earth. I collect porcelain dolls. I love country music. I'm a tremendous Alabama football fan and attended cheerleading camp at the University of Alabama for quite a few years. I love trucks, and yes I drive one. King of the Hill is my absolute favorite tv show. I love football and still support my Marbury Bulldogs. I have a huge interest in old, historic homes, and wish to one day own one. Rottweilers are my favorite breed of dog (with English Bulldogs coming in a close second) and I have two, a male and a female. We also have two cats, which we brought back from Turkey.

And remember, Just because your children were born in the South does not make them Southerners. After all, if a cat had kittens in the oven, that wouldn't make them biscuits.
